The Director of Amazon for Specialty Beauty will own Amazon as a P&L-driven growth engine for Specialty Beauty (Farmacy, Tula, Oaui, Each&Every and First Aid Beauty), integrating commercial strategy, operational excellence, and full-funnel media to drive sustainable, profitable growth across 1P/3P, US and priority international markets.
This role will be based at the Specialty Beauty Office in New York City and requires a minimum of 40% in-office presence.
Set the multi-year Amazon growth strategy aligned with Specialty Beauty and P&G enterprise objectives.
Own channel P&L: revenue, margin, media efficiency, inventory risk.
Define portfolio, pricing, promo, and launch strategy, including exclusives, bundles, and innovation roadmaps.
Lead annual and quarterly planning: Forecasts, Prime events, tentpoles, and long-range demand modeling.
Act as senior point of contact with Amazon leadership (Premium Beauty, SAS/AVS, Media).
Oversee 1P/3P operating model, including Buy Box health, inventory flow, ASIN transitions, pack changes, and compliance.
Lead forecasting, inventory planning, and risk mitigation (OOS, stranded inventory, deal mis-setups).
Ensure best-in-class Retail Readiness: PDP quality, content accuracy, SEO, reviews, suppression resolution.
Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Sales Ops, and Retailer Teams to manage exclusivity and conflicts.
Own agency operating cadence, SOPs, and performance accountability.
Own Amazon media strategy and budget (Sponsored Ads, DSP, STV, OLV, Retail Awareness).
Set measurement framework: TACoS, incrementality, new-to-brand, halo impact, LTV contribution.
Balance defensive vs. offensive media (brand defense, competitor conquesting, category expansion).
Drive integration between media, retail execution, and CRM/DTC learnings.
Scale testing roadmap for creatives, targeting, and emerging Amazon ad products.
Collaborate closely with Specialty Beauty Digital teams on Brand Media halo strategy
Set clear decision rights, escalation paths, and performance standards.
Manage and evaluate external agencies; ensure work quality, speed, and strategic value.
Serve as internal Amazon subject-matter authority for senior leadership across Specialty Beauty.
Evaluate Amazon current business model and recommend path forward.
Job Qualifications
10–15+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce, digital commerce, or omnichannel retail
7+ years of direct Amazon experience, including ownership of P&L and media investment
Proven leadership across Amazon 1P and/or 3P operating models
Experience managing $30–$200M annual Amazon revenue and multi-million-dollar media budgets
Beauty, CPG, or consumer health category experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success leading Prime Day, Cyber Week, and major retail tentpoles
