Job Description:
The TD Securities Capital Management Group is part of the Wholesale Banking Finance group and is accountable for all capital and leverage exposure management, and funds transfer pricing for TDS. The group provides subject matter expertise and advice to the business to support optimal financial resource management. Further, the group is involved in consultations and industry discussions regarding current and upcoming OSFI Capital requirements, as it relates to capital markets products. It is also responsible for allocation of capital for business line measurement and ownership of Capital Management Frameworks including establishment of segment limits, ongoing monitoring and escalation, and leading optimization and cost savings initiatives.
Reporting to the AVP, the Specialized Finance Manager will support the design and the delivery of robust capital performance analytics and management insights across TDS, as part of the evolution of TDS balance sheet management framework. The role will be responsible for developing detailed dashboard and performance reporting that enhance transparency into various capital and profitability measures, as well as balance sheet deployment efficiency across businesses.
Develop and maintain detailed and driver‑based capital analytics on key drivers of ROE, ROA, and capital generation, including RWA and Leverage usage.
Ensure accurate, timely, and insightful presentation of management scorecards, including important trends and performance drivers
Evaluate and assist the assessment of capital efficiency impact of strategic initiatives, new products and business growth opportunities
Support development and execution of the TDS capital and balance sheet allocation framework
Partner with the business and other stakeholders to identify and execute capital efficiency opportunities, including balance sheet optimization, RWA and leverage reduction strategies
Contribute to the enhancement of data quality, calculation process, and analytical tooling that support capital performance management
Monitor adherence to applicable limits, internal policies, and regulatory frameworks
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry, regulatory, and market developments relevant to capital performance management
Sound understanding of wholesale banking products, with the ability to apply quantitative data analysis
Detail-oriented and results-driven, with strong sense of ownership to push forward on new initiatives
Proven analytical skills working with large set of complex financial data
Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to solve unstructured problems
Advanced Excel skills and other data visualization tools, with experience in building performance and management reporting dashboard
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
CFA, CPA or FRM designation preferred
Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Undergraduate degree and/or
7+ years relevant experience preferred
Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
