Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers $6B+ in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world.
About the role:
The role is part of the Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team in GSSO. The TP&A team is focused on designing the optimal territory investment, design and alignment strategy to maximize Sales (and Services) productivity.
The Specialist will join the Territory Contact & Enrichment Team in TP&A that use various tools and platforms driven by automation and analytics to empower sellers with high quality bullseye prospect contacts quickly, pro-actively, accurately and at scale in a prioritized and streamlined manner.
What you will need:
Research & Data Analysis
Conduct in-depth research on prospects and former clients, delivering timely and accurate insights.
Maintain data integrity by regularly updating and analysing datasets; support reporting needs.
Manage and optimize data tools and platforms (e.g., automation tools, Excel, ZoomInfo, Lusha, D&B Hoover’s).
Evaluate and onboard new prospecting platforms to drive year-over-year growth in contact delivery.
Project Management & Collaboration
Lead and execute assigned work streams with minimal guidance, building strong process knowledge.
Collaborate on ad-hoc operational projects and foster relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Problem Solving
Address sales escalations and partner with teams to identify gaps, solve problems, and enhance processes.
Engage stakeholders across functions to deliver tangible value.
Reporting & Analytics
Conduct regular analysis of prospecting and enrichment platforms to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI).
Operational Excellence & Mentorship
Drive operational excellence by simplifying processes, implementing best practices, and supporting process transitions.
Mentor and train team members on tools and processes, ensuring robust data checks and high-quality sales operations.
What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably STEM) and 2+ years’ relevant experience in prospect research, client service, or sales operations.
Strong sense of ownership, drive, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
Excellent problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Think Cell); knowledge of VBA/Macros and Power BI is a plus.
High attention to detail, urgency, and commitment to quality standards.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on process improvement.
Quick learner with a champion mindset; experienced in working with multiple stakeholders across geographies.
