The Opportunity

Our Supply Chain team is looking to add a dedicated individual in Calgary to support supplier performance management and the supplier lifecycle team.

We are seeking a Specialist, Supplier Lifecycle who has knowledge and experience working with suppliers from the perspective of supply chain, project management or other similar fields.

This individual has the proven skills, competencies and capacity to work across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups to support the supplier lifecycle from initial registration through to performance management.

What You'll Do

  • Develop understanding of current supplier performance state and assess gaps and opportunities
  • Collaborate with supply chain, the BU and other stakeholders to build, propose and roll out a supplier performance strategy
  • Lead strategic objectives on the team and assist in driving improvements and optimization
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure appropriate supply base sizing and provide high quality services for registrations, qualifications and reassessments for new and existing suppliers, utilizing department procedures
  • Review, coordinate and facilitate risk assessments by cross-functional groups, document decisions and present to leadership and stakeholders
  • Work closely with team members to develop strategies to right-size supply base and implement performance standards and processes
  • Recommend and implement Supplier Lifecycle process improvements and corresponding solutions
  • Work with stakeholders to solve problems and recommend lasting solutions
  • Provide advice and training to stakeholders as appropriate to ensure Supplier Lifecycle tools and processes are accessible and understood by internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with subject matter experts engaged in qualifications (typically in the areas of Safety, Quality, Technical and Corporate Compliance)
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enable supply chain to access and realize value creation through optimum Supplier Lifecycle processes
  • Lead special projects as requested by management

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A business related undergrad from a recognized university, equivalent experience may be considered
  • Six plus (6+) years of experience in Supply Chain, Project Management or other field supporting projects or operations work with knowledge and experience working with suppliers
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes and procedures 
  • Knowledge of corporate business environment and requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry; midstream experience is a particular asset
  • Conflict resolution
  • Power BI and Excel
  • Business acumen in major technical disciplines (Construction, Engineering, Materials, Quality, Safety)

  • Have current, valid authorization to travel internationally (including but not limited to Canada, US and Mexico)
  • Successfully complete pre-employment Bankruptcy, Credit, Civil and Criminal background checks
