This position manages cross-team communications alignment for multiple stakeholders to drive messaging, positioning and announcement strategies. Interfaces with TOUR business units and corporate partners on announcements, public relations initiatives and messaging to creatively and consistently place business-related news across sports and non-sports media to the benefit of the TOUR and its partners. Manages the Legacy Project, Archives and select TOUR History projects, assist with the distribution of the Daily Clippings, AMR and Weekly Stakeholder Brief and contributes to the team through various writing and copyediting assignments.

In addition, this role will support the Golf Communications team, with a particular focus on the Pathways and PGA TOUR Champions groups. The individual will receive training as a Media Official, providing added flexibility to deploy as a cross‑tour Media Official on an as‑needed basis, likely in the range of 5–7 events per year.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is required; a Masters degree is a plus

  • 4+ of experience in communications, public relations, or media relations. Prior experience in golf tournament communications or sports event management is strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with the sports media landscape and event operations, particularly within golf.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and accurate content across various formats and platforms.

  • Comfortable pitching ideas and speaking publicly in both formal and informal settings.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.

  • Proven capacity to communicate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups, fostering strong working relationships and alignment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-pressure situations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable using digital publishing tools and content management systems.

  • Experienced in using social media platforms for real-time communications, brand storytelling, and audience engagement.

  • Maintains a polished and professional image, with a positive attitude and strong team-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to safely operate utility vehicles such as golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts, particularly in support of on-site tournament and media operations.

  • Strong interest in golf is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Manage cross-team communications alignment for multiple stakeholders, including partner communications, internal communications and international communications, to drive messaging, positioning and announcement strategies

  • Interface with TOUR business units and corporate partners on announcements, public relations initiatives and messaging to creatively and consistently place business-related news across sports and non-sports media to the benefit of the TOUR and its partners

  • Work as a Media Official on an as‑needed basis, likely in the range of 5–7 events per year.

  • Oversight and execution of the weekly PGA TOUR Tournament Messaging document 

  • Work with editorial advertising partners on business related media placements including but not limited to Global Golf Post and Fortune

  • Manage the Legacy Project (obituary process), TOUR Archives and select history projects

  • Writing and copyediting

  • Assist with the distribution of the Daily Clippings, AMR and the Weekly Stakeholder Brief

  • Coordinates TOUR-wide awards submission process
