About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Are you passionate about shaping the future of B2B commerce? We’re looking for a collaborative and dedicated Solution Engineer to drive growth across our B2B Commerce Cloud and Order Management (OMS) offerings.
As a trusted technical and business advisor, you will collaborate closely with our Commerce Sales teams to understand customer needs and craft tailored solutions that solve the complex challenges of our diverse customers. Whether it’s transforming B2B buyer relationships, enabling seamless self-service portals, or supporting end-to-end fulfillment, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving customer success on our innovative platform.

Your Role Will Be Divided Into The Following Activities:

  • Direct Customer Engagements: You will work on business opportunities, from discovery to tailored product demonstrations and presentations showcasing our solutions’ value.
    • Understand and map customer goals to the Salesforce product portfolio, designing innovative solutions and visions that address complex B2B challenges (e.g., account hierarchies, custom pricing, re-ordering, and unified order routing).
    • Provide technical expertise during the sales process, addressing customer questions and concerns in close collaboration with Solution Engineers and Account Executives.
    • Present our Commerce technology with confident familiarity of our B2B and Order Management capabilities.
    • Lead technical discussions with various partners, from C-level executives to IT teams, articulating the business value and architectural viability of our solutions.

  • Industry & Product Innovation: Stay abreast of B2B industry trends and market opportunities, using your expertise to drive product innovation and solve complex technical problems alongside global, multi-functional teams.
  • 1-to-Many Internal and External Sessions: Share thought leadership and solution knowledge by running live sessions such as webinars, masterclasses, campfires, and internal enablement to drive solution awareness, platform adoption, and ultimate customer success.
  • Asset Creation: Create highly relevant and reusable assets such as videos, pitch decks, and demo environments to allow others to self-serve, wow customers, and showcase visionary solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Bring a strong growth mindset and an inherent curiosity to your role. Take ownership of your personal development through certifications, product training, and independent exploration. We help you to constantly learn, evolve, and thrive in a rapidly changing technological landscape.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in a similar customer-facing role such as Solution/Sales Engineering, B2B E-Commerce architecture, or technical consulting, with a strong focus on commerce technology and transforming complex buyer journeys.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both German and English is required.
  • B2B Commerce Knowledge: Strong understanding of the B2B commerce and OMS vendor landscape, and how capabilities for account hierarchies, custom pricing, re-ordering, and self-service portals work together to drive business value.
  • Technical Skills: Good understanding of modern enterprise architectures and backend integration scenarios critical for B2B E-Commerce (e.g., how ERP systems like SAP, Middleware, or PIM connect). Experience with Salesforce B2B Commerce and Order Management is highly valued. Familiarity with modern frontend technologies, APIs, or supply chain management is a plus. You should be able to explain technical concepts in business terms, understand Salesforce’s role within a broader enterprise IT stack, and bring curiosity for emerging agentic capabilities.
  • Presentation and Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to persuasively present complex technical and architecture concepts to a variety of audiences, from technical teams to C-level executives.
  • Problem Solving: Structured and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze complex business requirements, empathize with customer needs, and propose scalable, practical technical solutions.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams and experienced in orchestrating complex sales cycles that require the coordination of multiple internal and external resources.
  • Industry Background: Experience in B2B-heavy industries such as Manufacturing, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or Wholesale/Distribution is beneficial.
