Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of solutions architects, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. • Set clear objectives for the architecture team and oversee the progress of deliverables in alignment with project milestones and organizational goals. • Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and provide continuous feedback to support the career growth of team members. • Ensure the team follows best practices and delivers high-quality, maintainable solutions. Solution Design and Architecture • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, enterprise-level solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs. • Collaborate with stakeholders (including product managers, technical leads, and business teams) to understand requirements and define architectural solutions. • Develop and maintain solution architectures across various domains (e.g., cloud, data, applications, and infrastructure) using best practices and industry standards. • Define technology roadmaps and ensure the use of appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, and tools to meet business objectives. • Assess and recommend software and hardware platforms to support solution scalability, security, and performance. Project Planning and Collaboration • Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects. • Define and maintain architectural documentation, including solution blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications. • Provide technical oversight during implementation and ensure that solutions are built according to the approved architecture. • Review and approve technical designs and solutions proposed by other teams to ensure alignment with the broader architecture strategy. Technology Strategy and Innovation • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance business capabilities. • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and tools into the architecture to ensure continuous improvement and competitive advantage. • Promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and best practice sharing across the team. Risk Management and Quality Assurance • Identify and mitigate risks related to architecture and solution design, ensuring the integrity and security of all technical solutions. • Work with quality assurance and DevOps teams to ensure architectural solutions are fully tested, reliable, and optimized for performance. • Perform architectural reviews and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with security policies. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting • Communicate complex architectural concepts and technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and architecture-related decisions to senior management and other key stakeholders. • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure the success of architectural initiatives. Qualifications and Skills: Education: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. • Proven experience designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level software solutions. • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions that align with business objectives. • Strong knowledge of solution architecture frameworks and methodologies, including TOGAF, Zachman, or similar frameworks. Technical Skills: • Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Proficiency in designing architectures for various domains (e.g., cloud computing, microservices, enterprise applications, data, and integration). • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices. • Expertise in designing high-availability, disaster recovery, and security solutions. • Experience with architecture modeling tools (e.g., UML, Archimate, or similar tools). • Familiarity with modern development frameworks and technologies (e.g., microservices, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes). Soft Skills: • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management abilities. • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strategic thinking with the ability to balance short-term business needs with long-term technical goals. Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications in AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent. • Experience with enterprise integration patterns and designing integration solutions for legacy systems. • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Confluence. • Experience with data architecture, including data modeling, data lakes, and big data solutions.What does the future of the air transport industry look like to you?
