About the role:
In this highly specialised, customer-focused role, you will work closely with the NAPA Branch Manager and Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and deliver technical expertise across NAPA specialist channels. You will be the primary contact for Trade and Specialist customers, managing key accounts and seeking new business in areas like Commercial & Industrial, Automotive Electrical, Tools & Equipment, and more.

Your role includes maintaining a structured and purposeful customer visit cycle, providing expert product knowledge, and collaborating with branch teams and vendors to grow market share and exceed customer expectations. Safety, technical competency, and continuous learning are key to success in this role. This position requires physical tasks such as lifting and safe vehicle operation.

Specific duties include: 

  • Leading specialist customer relationships and delivering exceptional service
  • Maintaining and growing key accounts within specialist channels
  • Providing technical knowledge and support to customers and team members
  • Planning and executing targeted customer visits with clear purpose
  • Identifying new business opportunities and promoting relevant products and promotions
  • Supporting branch teams to enhance service levels and specialist expertise
  • Achieving sales and gross profit targets for the territory
  • Promoting a culture of safety through adherence to H&S policies

Who we’re looking for: 

To be successful in this role you will ideally have proven experience in sales and account management within specialist or technical trade sectors. You’ll enjoy working towards KPI’s and targets and have a strong technical understanding of NAPA’s specialist channels. A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and growing business through expertise is essential.

  • Proven success in sales or account management, preferably within specialist trade or commercial sectors
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build and maintain key relationships
  • High technical competency in relevant NAPA specialist channels such as Automotive Electrical, Tools & Equipment, and Thermal Control
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
  • Well organised with the ability to plan targeted and purposeful customer visits
  • Results-driven with determination to meet and exceed goals
  • Willingness to continuously learn and engage with training
  • High work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Commitment to health and safety practices and promoting a safety-first culture
