Job Summary:

The Aviation Production Specialist leads aircraft maintenance operations to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulatory standards. This role exists to guarantee safe, efficient, and timely maintenance of company aircraft.

Job Description:

  • Optimizes and oversees all aspects of aircraft maintenance operations by guiding teams in scheduling inspections, monitoring activities, resolving complex technical issues, initiating and approving work orders, verifying parts compliance, evaluating returned components, and maintaining accurate reporting systems (Field Service Report [FSR], Daily Service Report [DSR], Out of Service [OOS]); plans and assigns aircraft to job sites to optimize resource utilization and meet operational demands—ensuring optimal aircraft airworthiness and operational readiness.

  • Provides expertise in an aircraft maintenance operations and resource planning to support the development and implementation of effective solutions.

  • Monitors compliance and process effectiveness to ensure alignment with regulatory standards, company policies, and continuous improvement initiatives driving operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and supporting airworthiness and safety objectives

  • Delivers training and guidance to stakeholders to enhance understanding and adoption of best practices.

  • Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.

  • Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of services.

  • Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.

Additional Job Description:

Education

  • Professional Technical Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance.

Experience

  • 3 years of experience with aircraft maintenance or at least 2 years of experience performing a previous position as maintenance aviation role.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable CFRs and maintenance regulations.
  • Skilled in scheduling, resource allocation, and operational planning.
  • Responds effectively to changing priorities and operational needs.
  • Strong communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with internal teams and external contractors.

License/Certifications

  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred.
