Job Summary
The Specialist, Strategic Partnerships & Philanthropy plays a key supporting role in advancing Comcast’s philanthropic initiatives, particularly those tied to Project UP—Comcast NBCUniversal’s $1B commitment to digital opportunity. This position supports the development and execution of grantmaking strategies, partner engagement, and internal coordination, contributing to the team’s mission to drive social impact locally and nationally.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of grantmaking strategies and processes aligned with Project UP and business priorities.
- Assist in sourcing and managing relationships with national and regional nonprofit partners, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Coordinate internal stakeholder engagement across departments.
- Conduct research and assist in defining evaluation priorities to measure philanthropic impact.
- Help prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and reporting related to grants and partnerships.
- Collaborate with the communications team to support storytelling and thought leadership efforts that highlight Comcast’s social impact.
- Assist in planning and logistics for events, conferences, and partner engagements.
- Maintain organized systems and documentation to support efficient team processes.
- Act as a resource for Partnerships team and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Strong individual contributor with demonstrated expertise in social impact or stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently with some supervision and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with event coordination and public-facing communications.
- Ability to develop business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings/weekends for events.
