Job Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented Marketing Specialist with strong expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and content development. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience across SEO strategy, paid advertising campaigns, and B2B content writing.

This role requires a data-driven marketer who can enhance organic search visibility, manage and optimize paid campaigns, and create high-quality, search-aligned content that drives engagement, traffic, and conversions for MarketStar.

Key Responsibilities:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

  • Lead technical SEO improvements, including site speed, mobile performance, crawlability, indexing, XML sitemaps, and schema implementation.
  • Conduct keyword research aligned with business goals and map keywords to relevant content across the funnel.
  • Optimize on-page elements such as meta tags, headers, internal linking, and content structure to improve rankings and search visibility.
  • Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console, identifying opportunities to improve traffic and conversions.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits using tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Screaming Frog to identify growth opportunities and address technical issues.
  • Support local SEO initiatives where applicable.


Content Development & Writing:

  • Write high-quality B2B content including blogs, landing pages, website copy, and campaign assets aligned with MarketStar’s brand voice.
  • Create SEO-driven content based on keyword research and search intent.
  • Collaborate with the Content Marketing team to develop content calendars and topic strategies.
  • Optimize existing content to improve search performance, engagement, and conversions.
  • Repurpose long-form content into email, paid, and social formats to support integrated campaigns.


Paid Advertising Campaigns (SEM):

  • Optimize paid campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and relevant platforms.
  • Develop and test ad copy to improve CTR and conversions.
  • Identify and test new paid platforms to expand audience reach.
  • Tracking, Analytics & Reporting:
  • Monitor and report on key metrics including traffic, rankings, conversions, CPC, CTR, and ROAS.
  • Provide actionable insights to continuously improve SEO, SEM, and content performance.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with content, design, and sales teams to ensure alignment between SEO and SEM initiatives and broader business objectives.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to measure performance more accurately.
  • Fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with SEO, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console, along with experience managing paid ad campaigns and writing B2B marketing content.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Screaming Frog, along with strong skills in Google Tag Manager and Google Ads.
  • Demonstrated success in planning, executing, and optimizing SEO strategies, including technical and on-page SEO.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with experience producing search-optimized B2B content.
  • Analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities effectively.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, and/or Google Ads.
  • Experience with additional ad platforms, including Reddit, Taboola, and Outbrain.
  • Experience in B2B marketing, particularly within technology or services industries.
  • Knowledge of CRM or marketing automation platforms.
