Overview of the Role

The Specialist role on the Analyst Relations/ Market Strategy team will support a range of analyst-related projects and programs, while helping to manage the relationships with some of the top industry analysts. This is a great opportunity to work with the Salesforce Market Strategy team in a role with huge potential for growth.

This position will accelerate and evolve the existing analyst relations program, helping the company to:

  • Cultivate strategic relationships with our growing community of analysts, market luminaries, and influencers

  • Synthesize and share strategic insights to the business on products and services based on market trends

  • Partner with the Sales Enablement organization, assisting in driving deals with analyst support

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Corporate Marketing to deliver content and programs to drive lead generation

  • Broaden visibility of the company, its strategy, and core products

The position requires a commitment to innovation in the technology industry, understanding of the enterprise software, cloud and AI technology markets, and the ability to establish trusted relationships with industry analysts researching these technologies. Clear, concise, and consistent communication skills are a must. 

Additionally, open communication with other members of the Market Strategy team is an essential requirement for the role. The ability to multitask, prioritize and stay organized are critical skills to be successful in this role, as well as the ability to maintain a calm demeanor and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with key partners across the company to execute AR strategy and communicate analyst insights.  Build relationships with the analyst community

  • Coordinate meetings, briefings, inquiries, advisory/strategy days, analyst outreach for product launches, Salesforce events, and analyst firm events

  • Be a trusted partner internally with the ability to staff analyst meetings, provide first level feedback to spokespeople and senior executives, capture meeting notes, share key takeaways with stakeholders, own follow-up items, suggest next steps, and contribute to strategy discussions

  • Create briefing documents and maintain contact both internally and externally 

  • Track and report analyst engagement activities 

  • Understand the value of marketing back to build relationships with internal clients and stakeholders

  • Partner internally to build and deliver great content and assets, good judgment on quality of content and who would find it useful, and the ability to measure effectiveness of content

  • Demonstrate excellent judgment for company's best interest, strong situational analysis, and the ability to negotiate

  • Be a great team player - willing to jump in and help others, take on new responsibilities and projects

  • Willingness and ability to travel 10-20% of the time across North America

  • Monitor, synthesize, and distribute industry analyst reports from top firms. Translate complex research into concise summaries with key takeaways for internal stakeholders across functions. 

  • Independently lead analyst research calls, serving as a primary point of contact for external analyst engagements and ensuring alignment between analyst perspectives and internal strategic priorities.

  • Support and contribute to Requests for Information (RFIs) and other formal analyst documentation that directly influences leadership positioning and scores in major industry analyst reports (e.g., Waves, MarketScapes, Magic Quadrants).

  • Champion a culture of innovation within the AR team by evaluating emerging AI capabilities and introducing solutions that enhance research synthesis, coverage tracking, and stakeholder communication.


Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree from 4 year college/university

  • Experience or familiarity with productivity and collaboration tools such as Google Docs, Google Slides, Slack, and similar platforms

  • Experience or familiarity with AI tools such as - Gemini,  Slackbot, NotebookLM, and similar technologies

  • Clear, concise, and consistent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with limited resources

  • Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize projects and communicate priorities to stakeholders

  • Team player with humility and a can do attitude; we are a dynamic team and everyone pitches in to get the job done

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $113,500 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $90,200 - $124,000 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
