About the Department:
Our Portfolio Account Services team manages broker onboarding, KYC compliance, and account documentation for global investment operations. We collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Operations to ensure seamless trading enablement, regulatory adherence, and strong governance across markets and asset classes. Core Responsibilities:
You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for broker onboarding, KYC, and trading documentation across global markets and asset classes.
You will manage the end-to-end broker onboarding and documentation process, including documentation collection, review, coordination, issue resolution, and escalation.
You will research, negotiate, and recommend brokerage and trading agreement terms, partnering with Legal and communicating impacts to Portfolio, Risk, and Operations teams.
You will coordinate and manage KYC documentation for new and existing accounts, including periodic review requests.
You will identify and implement process improvements to reduce operational risk, increase efficiency, and lower costs.
You will monitor regulatory and industry changes and assess their impact on onboarding, trading, and documentation requirements.
You will complete regulatory protocols (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR, SBS) required for derivative trading on vendor platforms.
Strategic Responsibilities:
You will represent Portfolio Account Services as an onboarding SME in client onboarding meetings, working groups, and governance committees.
You will review Investment Management Agreements to assess broker, market, and trading restrictions impacting account onboarding.
You will lead or support projects to enhance onboarding processes and systems, including documentation and data workflows.
You will partner with internal stakeholders to recommend solutions aligned with business, regulatory, and control objectives.
Team & Collaboration:
You will prepare, review, and maintain tax documentation (W-8, W-9, CRS) for in-house funds and separate accounts in coordination with Fund Tax teams.
You will track documentation expiration dates and ensure timely renewals to avoid trading or compliance disruptions.
You will work closely with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to understand and implement new regulatory requirements.
You will maintain contract and onboarding data in internal systems, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and downstream alignment.
Experience, Education & Certifications:
MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification.
5–7 years of experience in financial services.
2–3 years of experience in KYC/AML, broker onboarding, or account onboarding.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Good-to-have experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI for workflow automation, reporting, and process optimization.
Exposure to derivatives, ISDA documentation, and global capital markets.
Understanding of system dependencies and downstream impacts across operations and trading platforms.
Soft Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Sound judgment, decision-making, and analytical capability in complex environments.
High attention to detail with a strong risk and control mindset.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
Collaborative approach with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
Work Shift Timings - 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST
