Job Objective:

Seeking a details oriented Specialist - HR Compliance for end-to-end administration and compliance related to the PF and other social security aspects at PhonePe. The role will be key in supporting the execution and compliance of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) or similar porgrammes launched by the Government from time to time.

Responsibilities:

  1. PMVBRY Process Execution and Compliance
  • Eligibility Tracking: Identify and track all new hires who qualify as "First-Timers" and "Re-Joinees" under the PMVBRY scheme.
  • Employer Incentive Management: Monitor PhonePe’s employment baseline and threshold criteria monthly to ensure sustained eligibility for the incentives.
  • Payment & Benefit Checking: Validate the monthly Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) filings to confirm accurate EPF contributions and employee continuity, which triggers both employee and employer incentives.
  • Disbursement Follow-up: Track the status of Direct Benefit Transfer payments to eligible employees and employer's account, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all PMVBRY-eligible employees and scheme-related communications.

 

  1. EPF Process Management & KYC
  • UAN Management: Facilitate the generation and activation of Universal Account Numbers (UANs) for all new employees.
  • E-KYC & FAT: Ensure 100% completion of Aadhaar-based E-KYC for all employees. Manage the process for Face Authentication Technology (FAT) via the UMANG App for UAN authentication for first-time employees under PMVBRY.
  • e-Nomination: Drive the completion of online e-Nomination by all members on the PF portal within the stipulated timelines.
  • PF Data Correction: Process online member data correction requests and follow up with the EPFO to ensure timely approval and update.
  • Claims Support: Support employees with online process for PF withdrawal/ transfer claims, ensuring all required KYC and bank details are correctly validated.

 

  1. Compliance to other Social Security Requirements
  • Gratuity: Ensure the filings related to the administration of gratuity payout to the separating employees.
  • Maternity Benefit: Ensure appropriated record keeping and timely filing or returns for compliance to the requirements of maternity related benefits to the eligible employees.
  • Government schemes/ circulars: Analyze the circulars and announcements by the  Government on existing or new employee benefit or social security schemes for update to the Leadership and to ensure necessary compliance.

 

  1. General Compliance and Reporting
  • Keep up-to-date with all EPFO circulars, scheme guidelines (PMVBRY), and compliance amendments.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on PMVBRY participation, compliance status, and incentive realization to management.
  • Ensuring inspection and audit readiness by documenting the monthly ECR filing and EPF/EPS contribution remittances.
  • Support the inspections, audits and filing of returns through liaison with authorities and in coordination with the compliance partners.

 

Capabilities & Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labour Laws, Social work or related field..
  • Knowledge of Labour Laws and regulations, guidelines, and procedures required for PF Compliances. Understanding of the PMVBRY (Part A & Part B) guidelines, eligibility criteria, and incentive structure is strongly desirable.
  • Should have exposure to handling large employee headcounts (>5000) from compliance and filing perspective.
  • 1 to 2 year experience in handling PF compliances.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Exhibit high execution rigour with ability to work independently.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel for data recording and reporting.
