To provide technical support, coordination, and management of multimedia events hosted by the college. Provide support services for the daily use of technologies in specialized classrooms, multipurpose event spaces, conference rooms, and teaching labs to ensure an adaptive, flexible, and rich learning environment for the students. Collaborates with Austin Community College (ACC) departments in the integration of digital media technologies - audio support, video recording, video conferencing services - for institutional events and hybrid staff communication.Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks
Provides technical support of large and small multimedia events that require PA systems, video projection, video conferencing, and hybrid video streaming services.
Provides technical support, maintenance, and repair of specialized AV rooms used for events and live-streaming.
Tracking assigned event requests, service tickets, and room usage for event services.
Helps manage inventory of departmental assets.
Assists with creation of digital assets for multimedia events, including block diagrams, and load-in sheets.
Oversees workflow of hourly employees and departmental interns.
Participates in regular staff meetings, staff training programs, and accepts the responsibility for aiding the development of positive team relationships.
Knowledge
Knowledge of current principles and practices of video production techniques, live streaming, and event production.
Competencies in audio and video production software, as well current quality delivery standards - proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAW), as well as Adobe Premiere and Photoshop image editing software.
Competencies using robotic cameras, and switching hardware.
Knowledge of and familiarity with working in an academic environment, including effective communication with internal, and external ACC organizations, and competencies.
Skills
Maintaining a flexible and established work schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills, with excellent organizational skills, and the ability to develop processes to improve workflow.
Ability to pay attention to details and multi-task effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Work Experience
Two years related work experience.
Preferred Work Experience

Preferred qualifications:
Experience with Ross Carbinite Ultra switching systems, and Ross Expressions.
Competency with video captioning encoders.
Audio/Video engineering job experience - including but not limited to Dante digital audio signal routing, IP based video signal flow, simulcasting via RTMP codes.
Special Requirements
Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation for local Austin area travel.

Work is performed in a variety of settings.
