Job Summary
The Specialist, Conversion Rate Optimization will report to the Associate Director, CRO and support clients in optimizing digital properties such as websites, landing pages, and mobile apps through data-driven, test-informed insights.
This role offers a hands-on opportunity for someone with a passion for digital marketing and eCommerce to gain experience in the highly-valued discipline of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). The position balances analytical thinking with strategic execution, focusing on understanding user behaviors, identifying conversion opportunities, and optimizing digital experiences to improve performance. The Specialist will hone their CRO skillset as an individual practitioner, and build new cross-functional experience across our web analytics, customer experience, and broader digital experience optimization practice area.
You should possess some existing CRO experience and a strong grasp of and/or certification in the associated toolsets —such as Adobe Target & Analytics, Google Analytics, or other platforms like VWO and Optimizely. Any understanding of performance media campaigns in the context of landing page optimization, and/or general knowledge related to front-end web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for implementation of CRO tests, will also be of value.
You will be working within a fast-paced, result-oriented environment where you will contribute to problem-solving, hands-on execution, and driving digital experience innovation. As part of the Commerce & Experience center of excellence within Horizon Media, you will collaborate not only with the Horizon Commerce team, but with other Horizon Media teams as well as partners or external vendors (e.g. branding agencies, marketing technology platforms) and the client. As such, proactivity, communication, relationship-building and teamwork are all important elements of this role.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with CRO team members to identify client needs, define deliverables and develop a delivery plan to ensure the engagement is a success
- Responsible for on time, on-allotted hours support of activities within the engagement at the expected quality of deliverables
- Attend meetings as needed with internal teams, client teams, partners and other vendors to gather information and/or collaborate on the CRO program
- Support the ideation of testable optimization opportunities based on CRO best practices, competitive/comparables, user behaviors, and experience analytics data to identify opportunities for conversion improvement
- Develop and maintain measurement frameworks and define KPIs that align with client business goals to create a baseline for experience optimization
- Provide actionable insights on user journeys, funnel performance, feature usage, and pain points in collaboration with other experience team members
- Work closely with CX, media, creative, development and other adjacent program teams to create holistic improvement plans based on data
- Leverage tools like heatmaps, session recordings, and clickstream analysis to enhance CRO understanding
- Build and execute CRO testing roadmaps based on data insights, supporting hypothesis creation, test prioritization, and success measurement
- Use necessary platforms, such as A/B testing and personalization tools, to support delivery of the solutions above with support from senior CRO team members to learn new platforms or platform capabilities where needed
- Contribute to the creative and development process through effective briefing of any work needed for the digital initiatives in scope
- Help identify, troubleshoot or escalate as needed any issues that emerge during the engagement to ensure effective delivery
- Analyze A/B and multivariate test results to show impact to core business goals and guide iterative improvements in conversion
- Develop client facing deliverables like test analyses, impact reporting, and presentations that communicate insights persuasively
- Coordinate and collaborate with other teams as needed at Horizon Commerce, Horizon Media, the client’s partners and vendors and the client to deliver the engagement
- Communicate any engagement needs and status with internal team, including to Project Managers, and client (e.g., status reports, escalations)
- Observe the presentation of deliverables to the client, and practice your presentation skills during internal reviews
- Competently use Jira and/or Monday.com (depending on client account), Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and other tools as need to support team and engagement management
- Help with any administrative tasks related to the account, e.g., inputs to contracting, billing, process documentation, etc.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, analytics, website management, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in CRO and experience optimization; agency experience a plus
- Experience with fundamental conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and willingness and drive to increase skills and expertise in this function both through hands-on learning as well as additional training; includes A/B and Multivariate testing, landing page optimization for media, web design & UX, website analytics, user journeys, personas, customer segments and/or media audiences
- Direct experience within CRO tools such as Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target or similar
- Experience translating data and research into strategic insights and recommendations; certification in
- Certification in tools like Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics 4 preferred
- Familiarity with heatmapping/session recording tools (Hotjar, CrazyEgg, etc.)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and balancing multiple projects
- Collaborative, curious, and excited to turn data and digital experiences into impact
- Strong communication skills

Salary Range
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00
A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
