About the role:
The CHANEL Fragrance & Beauty (F&B) Client Intelligence Team is seeking an analytical, resourceful and detail-oriented Client Intelligence Specialist to join the team. In this role, the F&B Client Intelligence Specialist will be instrumental in supporting client-centric strategies by transforming data into actionable insights for our Multi-brand Retail Partners: developing client profiles, monitoring client trends, supporting targeting for client engagement initiatives and analyzing their impact — all in service of driving client engagement, loyalty, and business growth.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
Client Insights & Reporting:
Support creation of client profiles, utilizing demographic, behavioral, and transactional data
Deliver regular reports and benchmarks on client behavior, KPIs, and segmentation trends
Translate data into clear insights that support business stakeholders in decision making and action planning
Activation Targeting & Execution:
Support client activation of MBR Partner Client Data
Leverage client segmentation framework and ongoing insights to build targeted audiences for acquisition, engagement, and retention activations in line with F&B strategic priorities
Execute client targeting in partnership with retailers and CHANEL tech, ensuring security and timeliness
Continuously refine targeting approaches
Recommend innovative methods to scale activation
Performance Analysis & Optimization:
Analyze campaign results, measuring incremental impact against a control group and ROI
Identify opportunities for improvement and create feedback loops where insights from campaign analysis feed future targeting strategies
Strategy Support:
Develop regular, high-level reporting of key client metrics and support the creation of by-retailer client recap presentations and executive summary reports to support strategy development and action planning
Support deep dive client studies alongside the F&B Client Intelligence Team and business partners, extracting key, actionable findings and with intent to answer strategic questions and guide/influence decision making
Operational:
Manage self-service client insights tools to support business partner autonomy
Recommend and implement database enhancements in partnership with CHANEL Tech team and database provider to enable optimal efficiency and scale

What you will bring to the team:
Strong Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) and familiarity with programming languages (SQL, Python) and CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar) is a plus
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; Client and/or Data Analytics experience strongly preferred
Effective and proven communciation skills, both written and verbal along with presentation and facilitation skills
Industry knowledge, retail experience and/or experience working with luxury and/or global brands and an understanding of client-centric marketing strategies a plus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated capabilities of working with data through experience and skills/tool knowledge (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
Quick learner – ability to train on and learn new tools
Position Logistics:
Role based in New York City, requires minimum of 3 days in-person office presence in our Midtown Manhattan office
Minimum of 2 years of relevant Client Intelligence experience; Client and/or Data Analytics experience strongly preferred; Looker, Power BI or equivalent experience required
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (major/concentration in a quantitative field – e.g. Data Science, Data Analysis, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, preferred)

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,200-$100,000. A base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
