Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences with special events that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Job Description

Special Events: internship supports the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of organizational events. In this role, the intern assists with event logistics, vendor communication, general support, on-site coordination, and post‑event evaluation. Responsibilities include helping maintain event timelines, preparing materials, organizing registration lists, and contributing creative ideas to enhance attendee experience. In addition, the role will help support daily administrative functions for the Sanford Health Foundation and the Special Events Team.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. This position provides hands-on experience in event management, stakeholder communication, project planning, and cross‑department collaboration. The Special Events Intern plays a key role in ensuring events run smoothly and reflect the organization’s brand and objectives.

Because many of our events take place outside regular business hours, evening availability is required.

Qualifications

Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.

Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
