Job Summary: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (OCEO), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). OCEO provides overall leadership, guidance and coordination to MCC staff and operations. Although the position is advertised equivalent to GS-11, MCC uses a pay banded system to compensate employees. This position is pay band 4C which is generally equal to GS-11.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: To qualify for Pay Band 4C applicants must meet the following: Qualifying experience for Pay Band 4C includes one year of specialized experience (comparable to the Pay Band 5 or GS-9 or equivalent non-federal experience), which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, examples of specialized experience are: performing confidential and special assignments for the senior executives; preparing briefings, background materials and related items for meetings, conferences, or other events/opportunities; planning executive travel, including itinerary development, administrative and logistical items (visas, hotel booking, etc.), scheduling briefing materials, and interagency and intergovernmental coordination; maintaining electronic calendar and contact databases; preparing daily briefing books; scheduling appointments, meetings, and conferences for the senior staff; using automated systems and databases (i.e. Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, case management system) to schedule meetings, create presentations and maintain case files; and responding to, initiating and editing executive communications, reports and documents for the senior staff approval. Note: This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application. OR Applicants may qualify based on substitution of education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR, 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR, LL.M., if related. OR Applicants may qualify based on combining education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Time-in-Grade: Time-in-grade requirements apply. You must have one year of Federal service equivalent to MCC Pay Band 5 or GS- 9 to be eligible for Pay Band MC- 4C.
