Adelaide Full time

Want to bring ideas to life?

You’re in the right place. If you’re looking for a fresh challenge, why choose Aurecon? It comes down to one, crucial question. What kind of world do you want to create for the next generation? Truth is, the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything – from the local community to the entire planet. One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for?

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

We have a fantastic role for a capable and motivated Geospatial Consultant that is keen to develop themselves and grow in our business. This position would support our projects primarily in Victoria and South Australia and play a critical role in delivering initiatives across our markets nationally.

Utilising your valuable skills and experience (2+ years ideally), you will have the opportunity to be part of a passionate team of professionals as you join a large-scale organisation that has some exciting plans ahead.

At Aurecon, we know the work we do is vital in assisting in the build of key infrastructure and assets and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.

We know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets. You will be joining an existing Geospatial team, supported by local staff and further supported by our wider, National Geospatial cohort as we continue to expand our Geospatial team in Adelaide and Melbourne.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

  • Support and deliver spatial data analysis, mapping, and visualisation for infrastructure, environmental, and urban projects
  • Use tools such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), and Survey123 to manage and analyse spatial data
  • Automate and streamline workflows using Python scripting and FME
  • Provide spatial insights that support decision-making and project delivery
  • Engage proactively with clients and internal teams to explore potential spatial solutions

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in GIS or a related spatial discipline
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the Esri suite of products, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), Field Maps, and Survey123
  • Python and scripting skills, particularly for automation and workflow optimisation
  • A bachelor’s degree in Spatial Science or GIS
  • FME experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to communicate complex GIS concepts and solutions clearly and confidently
  • A proactive and curious mindset, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the spatial industry

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life. Our Aurecon Attributes describe the types of people we bring together. We don’t expect you to have all eight, but we’re excited to see which ones resonate most with you.
