Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and maintain a Mission Ground Simulator (MGS) in MATLAB for our development, production, and on-orbit operational Space Radar Payload programs.
As a member of the Mission Ground Simulator (MGS) team, you will be responsible for:
Development and Maintenance of MGS MATLAB based ground simulation (thermal, power, radar tasking, ground interfaces, tasking decomposition)
Development of Mathematical Algorithm Requirement Specifications (MARS) that feed MGS and Ground development
This position is on-site in a classified program area in Linthicum, Maryland.
Active TS and eligibility for SCI clearance is required to be considered.
This position can be staffed at a Principal or Sr. Principal level based on the Basic Qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with MS
Sr Principal Engineer: BS in STEM with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS
MATLAB coding proficiency
Simulation performance modeling knowledge and experience
Active TS clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Experience with Space Vehicle tasking
Experience with Radar tasking
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Math
Active SCI clearance
