Join Harrod’s Kitchens & Restaurants team as a Sous Chef, leading daily culinary operations to deliver excellence across a multi‑site environment.

About the Role

As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high‑quality food production, strong team leadership, and smooth daily operations across multiple kitchen areas. Working closely with senior chefs, you’ll uphold culinary standards, drive performance, and support the development of internal talent.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing kitchen teams to exceed business expectations.
  • Overseeing food production to ensure dishes meet specification, quality, and presentation standards.
  • Managing stock, ordering, storage, and operational processes to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
  • Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  • Supporting day‑to‑day administrative tasks, including staffing, documentation, and equipment maintenance reporting.

This role is fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week.

About You

You will be an inspiring and resilient culinary professional with strong leadership qualities and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. You thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment, demonstrating confidence in your culinary skills and the ability to coach, motivate, and organise teams effectively. You will consistently uphold high food safety standards, take ownership of operations, and act as a positive role model within the kitchen environment.

You will bring:

  • Strong culinary expertise with proven experience producing high‑quality dishes at volume.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A solid understanding of food safety, compliance, and kitchen operations.
