THE JOB:
Step into the spotlight as a Conventions & Banquet Sous Chef at MGM Grand, where you’ll help orchestrate unforgettable culinary experiences that wow every guest! With your skill and creativity, each dish becomes a showpiece—crafted to the highest standards while delivering bold flavors and stunning presentation. Every plate you send out won’t just satisfy—it will leave a lasting impression.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Maintain quality and proper presentation of food
Drive the customer relation management system by ensuring that all such orders are handled correctly
Communicate with chefs, management, employees and guest efficiently with proper reporting, and meetings
Schedule and maintain the budgeted labor costs as well as potential food cost
Understand and utilize Stratton Warren system properly for purchasing, release orders and cost transfers
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma or GED
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
2+ Years of prior relevant experience working a high-volume culinary environment as a Chef
5+ Years of prior relevant experience in a high volume, with strong food knowledge, hotel/casino environment preferred
Associate's degree in F&B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute preferred
