Role Summary:
As a Digital Sourcing Specialist at Baker Hughes, you will lead initiatives that transform sourcing and procurement processes through digitalization, automation, and global process standardization. This role focuses on defining and maintaining best-in-class sourcing practices, leveraging technology to refresh and improve standards proactively. You will collaborate with sourcing leaders, technology teams, and suppliers to identify pain points, design solutions, and implement tools that reduce manual workloads and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement
- Define, document, and maintain global sourcing and procurement processes aligned to best practices.
- Proactively refresh standards when new technologies or industry innovations enable improved efficiency or compliance.
- Lead process harmonization across regions to ensure consistency and scalability.
Digital Transformation & Automation
- Analyze sourcing workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
- Design, develop, and deploy Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to streamline operations.
- Implement AI-driven solutions leveraging platforms like C3.ai to enhance decision-making and reduce costs.
ERP System Expertise
- Drive best practices in SAP MM, Oracle, and Ariba procurement modules.
- Partner with IT and procurement systems teams to ensure proper integration of tools and processes.
- Support global teams in adopting optimized workflows through training sessions and documentation.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor tool usage and performance post-implementation.
- Conduct data quality checks and maintain system integrity.
- Prepare dashboards and reports for leadership on efficiency gains and cost savings.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with sourcing leaders, buyers, and executives to align digital initiatives with business goals.
- Engage external suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Innovation & Best Practice Leadership
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and procurement trends.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that position Baker Hughes as a leader in sourcing excellence.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, MIS, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience:
- 2–4 years in procurement, sourcing, or digital transformation roles.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP MM, Oracle, Ariba) and automation tools.
- Proven ability to standardize processes and implement best practices globally.
- Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) – Intermediate to Advanced.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., C3.ai) and process mapping tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Languages:
- English (required), Spanish (preferred).
- Preferred Certifications:
- Procurement or supply chain certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
