Job Description
Rockwell Automation, Inc. is looking for a and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic Services & Solutions Supply Chain team. You are with experience identifying and engaging top-tier suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts, and ensuring a reliable supply chain. We are looking for a combination of,, and a to.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Identification and Qualification: identify new suppliers through several channels, including online databases, industry events, and networking. This includes assessing supplier capabilities, financial stability, and compliance with company standards.
- Procurement: Lead sourcing events (RFQs, RFPs), analyze bids, negotiate contracts, and manage the entire procurement process for assigned projects. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers, ensuring best value. Manage contracts, ensuring compliance and addressing any potential issues.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, price fluctuations, and new technologies relevant to our procurement needs. Conduct market research to identify potential cost savings and supply chain improvements.
- Data Analysis: Track measurements, analyze data, and prepare regular reports on sourcing performance, cost savings, and supply chain metrics. Use data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks that could affect supply chain performance (i.e., supplier performance, geopolitical events) and develop mitigation strategies to minimize business disruption.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with suppliers and team members to identify standard work and processes to improve efficiency, quality, cost, and new ideas within the supply chain. This includes facilitating Kaizen events, lean projects, or other improvement methodologies.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Materials Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement role.
- Experience sourcing goods and services, negotiating favorable contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
- Native or fluent in English
- Demonstrated experience building relationships with main suppliers.
- Experience with supply chain principles, procurement processes, and performance metrics.
- Experience with lean methodologies or other continuous improvement projects.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar certification.
