Role Summary:
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for running the sourcing events as requested upon them from the Sites or BU’s and received through the appropriate system workflows. The overall focus of the role is to manage the complete RFQ/RFP process and to select the most appropriate supplier for the intended scope of work based on Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost parameters and aligned with the global category strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the sourcing events on behalf of the Sites/BU’s as defined by the system workflows in a timely manner.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value offering for Flowserve with respect to the scope of work and Site/BU needs; balancing Quality, Delivery and Cost. This includes any specific flowdowns or contractual terms relative to a specific scope.
- Where applicable, finalize contractual agreements such as Price Lists or Teaming Agreements per the specific scope of supply and ensure they are loaded appropriately within the applicable tools/ERPs.
- Facilitate First Article Approval process managing relationship and planning activities for suppliers and internal stakeholders such as Engineering and Quality.
- Comply with the sourcing strategy as set forth by the Global Category Management function; including focusing spend on Partner & Preferred suppliers.
- Create and expedite any new supplier requests / supplier changes as required to support the BU operations through the MDG-Supplier process.
- Identify any specific supply/supplier risks as it pertains to the managed scope and elevate them through the appropriate process/hierarchy.
- Support Commercial Operations for any supply chain quotes required to support tender activities.
- Operate in full compliance to all Flowserve Policies & Procedures as applicable to the role.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain
- 1+ years of sourcing experience
- Strong interpersonal relationship management
- Evidenced understanding of both commercial and technical areas of supply chain
- Ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levels
- Expertise with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of applicable ERPs and associated tools i.e. SAP and sourcing tools like Ariba
- Sound understanding on the sourcing needs of the regional / global sites
Preferred:
- Very strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Project Management
- Knowledge of supply base in the region for the assigned categories
- Understanding of market dynamics
- Strong analytical skills which involves collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
- Certified Supply Chain Professional
