As a Sourcing Professional, you will support the OTR team by defining procurement strategies, ensuring supply continuity, and driving continuous improvement and cost‑out initiatives. You will influence key business decisions, negotiate competitive agreements, and build strong partnerships across suppliers and internal stakeholders.
As a Sourcing Professional, you will be responsible for:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Execution
- Driving volume‑leverage and advanced‑release strategies aligned with BOM and business needs.
- Ensuring supply continuity and fulfillment in line with site requirements (MHD, OTD, OTC).
- Managing supply chain and functional risks, including sole‑source mitigation and lead‑time reduction.
- Promoting initiatives such as payment‑term optimization, cost‑out programs and on‑time delivery improvements.
- Negotiating long‑term and strategic supply agreements.
Supplier Management & Commercial Leadership
- Managing bids, pricing, capacity, payment terms and supplier chargebacks.
- Participating in monthly and quarterly supplier business reviews to support performance improvement and global alignment.
- Building strong relationships with S&OP, Operations, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
- Collaborating with Commodity Buyers to support technical and commercial development while increasing product and manufacturing process knowledge.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Business Support
- Supporting alignment between Product Line, Manufacturing, Engineering and other internal stakeholders.
- Supporting ITO/BID activities by preparing quotations and negotiating competitive commercial conditions with suppliers.
Fuel your passion
- Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Engineering.
- Have prior experience as a Buyer in Engineering, Manufacturing, Fabrication and/or Machining environments.
- Have a strong technical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Have a proactive, improvement‑driven profile with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Have fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Have an outcome‑focused approach, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Desired Characteristics
- 2–3 years of experience with engineered items.
- Project management, technical and/or materials experience.
- A recognized professional or academic qualification (e.g., MCIPS, APICS).
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
