Your Opportunity as the Sourcing Manager, Global Logistics
The Sourcing Manager, Global Logistics reports directly to the Director, Indirects – Logistics and Distribution. The Manager will support the Director in total category plans and execution for over $40M in Global Logistics (Ocean, Drayage) expenditures. This position will be directly responsible for managing annual bidding, contracting, and supplier management.
In this role, the manager will develop and execute strategies (using appropriate tools including industry analysis, supplier analysis, benchmarking, etc.) required to plan, source, negotiate and implement the procurement of international transportation, and other logistics related sub-categories.
Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices
Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
In this role you will:
Work closely with key stakeholders to manage current contracts and identify a pipeline of future opportunities that will drive best in class logistics and supply chain.
Support internal logistics stakeholder with ongoing supplier relationship management and risk mitigation techniques
Managing annual contract and award cycles to support the evolving needs of the business across international trade lanes
Maintain and report accurate supplier data for internal use (scorecards, reporting, analytics, P2P process, etc)
Managing day-to-day tactical logistics execution (exception management) and freight pay & audit of ocean and drayage billing

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of logistics procurement experience
At least 1 year of people management experience
Proven track record of managing global logistics stakeholder base and annual bidding events
Deep knowledge and experience negotiating contracts and managing suppliers within the indirect logistics category
Strong negotiation skillset
Effectively collaborates with customers to gain agreement/support, ability to influence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – internal and external scope
Ethical, trustworthy and dependable with focus on stakeholder needs and objectives
Ability to work well and maintain strong business relationships with other departments, outside suppliers and other business partners to deliver against business/organization goals
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Degree focused on Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, Finance is preferred
1-3 years of international (Ocean, Drayage) procurement experience highly preferred
Independent self-starter with a passion for logistics & distribution procurement – highly motivated
