Sourcing Executive – Service Operations

Based upon the Alfa Laval sourcing objectives, commodity strategy and initiatives from the Handshake Process, execute and develop the Optimal Supplier Base solution regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost on the goods/services to be delivered to specified sites in line with Alfa Laval Purchasing Process.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Purchase Management

  • Manage procurement of spare parts, tools, and consumables for service centers.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to prevent service delays.

Repair Job Coordination

  • Collaborate with service teams to identify repair requirements.
  • Source and engage specialized vendors for component-level repairs and refurbishing.
  • Monitor repair timelines and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Analyze scope of work, review quotations, and negotiate terms effectively.

Vendor Development & Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize value.

Cost Optimization

  • Analyze purchasing trends and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Maintain competitive pricing without compromising on quality.

Inventory Coordination

  • Manage consumables, service center equipment spares, and tools.
  • Work closely with service teams to forecast demand accurately.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.

Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate with suppliers to meet quality standards.
  • Handle returns for defective or non-compliant materials promptly.

What you can be?

  • Education: Bachelor’s in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial) or Supply Chain/Operations; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 6–10 years in direct sourcing/supplier development, preferably in service operations, repair/refurbishment, industrial equipment, 
  • Certifications (Preferred): Six Sigma Green Belt
