The primary responsibilities of this position are to support the Network Strategy and Sourcing team in our mission to develop a Best-in-Class Medicinal Supply Engine. The role’s objectives involve a variety of tasks supporting or leading in (4) areas: sourcing, project management, data analysis and maintenance, and network strategy. 

What You Will Achieve

As a member of the Network Strategy & Sourcing team, you will help us succeed by leading, participating and collaborating to:

  • Develop and evaluate network strategy and sourcing proposals

  • Support and improve sourcing processes and tools such as the new Global Sourcing Solution

  • Manage a portion of the sourcing process, for example Exploratory Cost Requests (ECRs)

  • Maintain strategic data (example long-range sourcing)

  • Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement,

  • Collaborate across PGS to track and monitor strategic projects. Maintain baseline plans and manage escalations.

  • Utilize and reinforce our key standard processes (Chevron 1…6).

  • Support leadership with standard reporting such as our monthly Visual Mgmt Board

Key Activities of role:

  • 50%: Support for sourcing and strategy projects, including tracking and execution support.

  • 40%: Collaborating on, maintaining and managing strategic data sets, with help from modeling SME’s

  • 10%: Ad hoc projects as requested by management and to support colleague development

Key partners for the role include:

  • Sourcing team: Accountable for sourcing process, data, tools, and governance.

  • Network Design & Strategy: Accountable for manufacturing network design and performance, meaning capacity, cost, capital, technical capabilities, launches, tax & tariff factors, and others.

  • Modeling and Analytics: Accountable for the strategic data engine that enables integration and modeling of product, process, site and market data across multiple attributes: volumes, labor, costs, revenue and more.

  • Cross-functional leaders in other teams: Accountable for execution or resourcing of strategy projects, as well as joint problem-solving with those leaders.

  • In addition, the role will build and maintain a significant number of contacts at our manufacturing sites, in external supply, and in product portfolio teams, to be able to share information and give process guidance.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a master's degree with 0+ years of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience

  • Strong project management skills in overseeing multiple programs in a cross functional, cross organizational environment. 

  • Must have pro-active approach in managing daily activities and identification/ solution of issues.

  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization is essential.

  • High levels of discretion, because we routinely engage with confidential financial and strategic data.

  • Strong ability to work across scale/size of team: from working independently to large, multinational, virtual teams

  • Experience working with datasets.

  • Knowledge of basic analytical tools, such as Excel and Access or another database tool.

  • Strong attention to detail, due to the complexity of our work and reliance by others on our outputs.

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Experience in at least 3 of the following domains is preferred: manufacturing, procurement, finance, process technology, product management, supply chain, innovation practices or strategy development.

  •  Experience working with large datasets.  And the courage to identify which pieces of the data lack confidence.

Approximately 5% travel is expected with this role

For potential positions outside of East Coast, US, frequent travel to NY/NJ should be anticipated.

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,300.00 to $133,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
