What You'll Need:
Associate's degree or Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Program
Valid Sonography Certification, Registered with ARDMS or ARRT

What You'll Do:
Patient-Centered Approach: Prioritize patient needs when selecting procedures, techniques, equipment, and communication methods.
Diagnostic-Imaging Excellence: Produces top-quality diagnostic images, ensuring proper positioning, technical factors, collimation, and patient identification; Consistently and accurately enters patient exam data information and charges in a timely manner.
Communication: Effectively and compassionately explains procedures to patients, reducing anxiety and enhancing cooperation; Appropriate age and developmentally specific guidelines should be carefully followed as well.
Radiation Safety: Adheres to Radiation Protection Policies and carefully limiting exposure, to maintain compliance within department and hospital.
Work Area: Maintains a clean, well-stocked, and organized workspace and notifies appropriate personnel when stock needs replenishing.
Quality Assurance: Consistently performs accurate and complete quality assurance procedures in appropriate software prior to submitting scans to the physician.
Equipment Proficiency: Operates equipment accurately to obtain precise measurements and produce quality diagnostic images, demonstrating proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy.
Other Duties as Assigned - including but not limited to transporting patients when necessary.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies up to 600 pounds with assistance.
Work requires walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting during normal operation.
Requires mental skills to read and comprehend patient orders and technical materials.
Motor coordination needed to operate heavy and delicate equipment.
