The Solutions Engineer II (SE-II) is a sales and technical role with focus on customer/partners and is part of the sales organization. The SE’s primary responsibility is to support the sales team with technical skills and provide technical knowledge around F5 solutions to our partners and customers. To be effective, an SE needs to have excellent technical skills and knowledge on both F5 products and the “eco-system” that we work in. 

  

The high-level objective is to achieve the allocated sales target and selling relevant F5 solutions and products to our customers business needs, in partnership with the Sales Account Managers’ team. 

From our customer(s) and Channel partner(s) perspective, the SE is a trusted advisor who proactively learns and understands their technical and business challenges and is able to propose effective solutions to mitigate their concerns/offer gainful solutions. The F5 SE not only presents the technical features but also business benefits in the Technical Value Proposition. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Conduct detailed product presentations and demonstrations for both partner and end user clients, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Prepare technical proposals and configurations based on customer requirements and needs.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical support during the sales process.
  • Provide some basic troubleshooting assistance as needed to customers and escalate more complex issues to senior engineers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies to better support sales efforts.

  

 What you’ll bring: 

  • Familiarity with Network infrastructure and High-availability architectures
  • Understanding of Cloud/Virtualization technology and experience in public and private cloud environments.
  • Understanding of Web Protocols and application architectures (HTTP/TLS/SSL), select programming languages (such as Python, JavaScript, Golang, etc.), and Kubernetes concepts and architectures.
  • Familiarity with PKI concepts.
  • Familiarity with building and presenting content for demo environments.
  • Gains knowledge of business, standards, processes, and concepts.
  • Familiarity/experience with F5 technology or similar industry solution deployment a plus. 
  • Fluent verbal and writing skills in Dutch and English.
