The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$129,500.00 - $194,300.00

Position Overview: The Solutions Architect is a strategic role responsible for the design, development, and governance of our core business application ecosystem. You will be a key technical leader for solutions spanning our digital manufacturing core as well as other integrated business solutions. The ideal candidate is a deep-thinking strategist who can translate complex business requirements into scalable, robust, and secure architectural blueprints. You will be instrumental in modernizing our core processes and ensuring seamless data flow across the enterprise, from initial product design to final production and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Architecture: Design and document end-to-end solutions for major business initiatives and contribute to the IT strategic roadmap by evaluating emerging technologies and providing recommendations.

  • Architectural Alignment & Cross-Domain Collaboration: Actively partner with other Solution Architects to ensure solutions are technically cohesive, adhere to enterprise standards, account for current state landscape and align with the overall IT roadmap.

  • ERP Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the technical authority for core ERP modules, including Finance and Controlling, Warehouse and Materials Management, and Manufacturing. Provide guidance on best practices, configuration, and enhancement strategies.

  • Integration Strategy: Architect Application-to-Application (A2A) integration patterns, specifically within the Boomi platform. Ensure integrations are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

  • Manufacturing Systems Integration: Collaboratively define the architectural strategy for integrating ERP with our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Map critical data flows for production orders, material consumption, quality data, and production confirmations.

  • Data Governance & PLM: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define how Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes integrate with the enterprise. Champion Master Data Management (MDM) principles to ensure data integrity for materials, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and routings across the entire product lifecycle.

  • Industry 4.0 Expertise: Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives by identifying and exploring opportunities in IoT, digital twin technology, AI/ML in manufacturing, and advanced analytics.

  • Governance & Standards: Define and implement architectural standards, patterns, and best practices. Spearhead architectural reviews and application portfolio rationalization to identify fit-for-function high quality solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

  • 2 years of IT Architecture experience required, 5 years in a solution or enterprise architect role preferred.

  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of a Tier-1 ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing A2A integrations using an iPaaS platform, with specific experience in Boomi preferred.

  • Strong understanding of the integration points and data exchange mechanisms between PLM, ERP and MES platforms.

  • Solid knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts and the critical role of Master Data Management (MDM) in an enterprise landscape.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to create clear architectural diagrams and documentation.

  • Ability to synthesize and translate complex technical and business requirements into clear, conceptual guidance for executive leadership.

Additional Qualifications

  • Exposure to or direct experience with Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies (e.g., Industrial IoT, Digital Twin, Predictive Maintenance) preferred. 

  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF preferred.

  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture Management and Business Process Modeling platforms such as LeanIX and Signavio preferred.

  • Possesses expertise in leading cloud-native architectures across Tier-1 hyperscalers such as Google Cloud Platform preferred.
