This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Solution Train Engineer to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.
In this role, you will work alongside government partners, engineers, and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement—helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success.

Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the Solution Train Engineer (STE) coordinating execution across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
Facilitate and oversee Solution Train PI Planning, Pre-PI and Post-PI events, Solution Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
Ensure alignment between solution intent, architectural runway, backlog prioritization, and Program Increment (PI) objectives.
Remove cross-team impediments and resolve dependencies impacting solution delivery.
Drive adoption of SAFe best practices, Lean-Agile leadership principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with Product Management, System Architects, DevSecOps leads, cybersecurity, and program management to ensure synchronized delivery.
Monitor and report solution-level metrics including flow efficiency, predictability, velocity, dependency management, and risk posture.
Support executive briefings and stakeholder communications regarding delivery performance and transformation progress.
Ensure solution-level execution maintains operational continuity across multi-enclave environments without disrupting mission capabilities.
Provide direct supervision and performance management for assigned Scrum Masters and Agile practitioners.
Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, coaching, and professional development planning.
Support succession planning and talent pipeline development within the Agile delivery organization.
Basic Qualifications
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline and 12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience serving as a Solution Train Engineer (STE), Release Train Engineer (RTE), or senior Scrum Master in large-scale SAFe implementations.
Experience coordinating multiple Agile teams delivering enterprise IT or cloud-based solutions.
Experience leading and mentoring Scrum Masters or Agile practitioners.
Demonstrated experience resolving cross-team dependencies and complex delivery risks.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud, DevSecOps, data, or AI/ML initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance.
SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification.
PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification.
Experience supporting multi-enclave DoD cloud environments.
Experience implementing Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) practices.
Experience driving enterprise Agile transformation initiatives.
Experience supporting performance-based contract environments with defined KPIs and SLAs.
