Job Summary

The Inside Sales Backend Engineer will serve as a critical support function for the U.S.-based Inside Sales Engineering organization. This role focuses on administrative and documentation-related engineering tasks that ensure accuracy and speed in the pre-sales to post-sales process. The Backend Engineer will partner closely with Inside Sales Engineers and Inside Sales representatives, Project Managers, and Analysts to prepare, validate, and maintain all technical documentation required for order readiness, service qualification, and provisioning. Assist with development of processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Complete IP Justification (IPJ) forms for new Dedicated Internet circuits using data from customer Sales Orders.
  • Execute and update Prequalification Checklists to confirm customer site readiness and service availability.
  • Maintain engineering workbooks and internal documentation trackers to ensure all project details are captured accurately.
  • Review customer and order data across multiple systems (e.g., Amdocs OSO, Salesforce, CB Sales Dynamics) to ensure accuracy before submission to provisioning.
  • Support Sales Engineers by performing administrative and documentation tasks required for order creation and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve sales engineers and sales effectiveness and reduce cycle time.
  • Provides timely, support for customer forms, documentation and ISC process needs.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with defined SLAs and standards.
  • Participate in regular syncs with Sales Engineering leadership to provide task updates, report issues, and suggest process improvements

Systems, Tools, and Platforms:

CRM & Sales Systems

  • Salesforce.com, CB Sales (Dynamics) - Track sales opportunities, SE activities, and customer order data.
  • Amdocs OSO, DMaaS, Bedrock - Manage order creation, validation, and service delivery readiness.

Network & IP Tools

  • IP Control Read access, BPOM (Blue Planet Operations Manager), Insight/Serviceability, SevOne, Grafana, Century
  • Microsoft Office Suite – For BVE Workbooks (Prequal and SIMON Tabs), Verify site readiness and service qualification.
