Solution Consultant Lead

This is a player-coach role within Thomson Reuters' Asia Markets division, focused on the corporates enterprise solutions. You'll balance individual performance targets with team leadership responsibilities, maintaining your own revenue quota while developing and managing a team of solution consultants. This position requires deep expertise in tax and accounting solutions, with the ability to both execute high-value client engagements and elevate team performance through coaching and mentorship.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Solutions Consultant Lead, you will:

  • Drive personal revenue performance: Maintain quota responsibility and achieve individual revenue targets while providing specialized consulting to solve business challenges using Thomson Reuters tax and accounting solutions
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team: Manage a team of solution consultants in the corporates space, conducting regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development discussions while fostering a collaborative culture
  • Deliver expert pre-sales consultation: Act as a technical expert in client meetings and demonstrations, advising customers and sales teams on the right offerings to solve pain points and increase retention
  • Build team capability: Provide coaching, mentoring, and structured learning programs through knowledge transfer, shadowing opportunities, and best practice demonstration in solution selling
  • Design innovative solutions: Scope and design current platform solutions, host design thinking workshops, provide strategic consulting, and deliver proof of concepts that showcase what's possible
  • Optimize resource allocation: Strategically assign opportunities across the team, balance workload distribution, and manage capacity planning to drive both individual and collective success
  • Translate market insights into action: Convert tax and accounting industry trends and client feedback into actionable coaching, enablement programs, and solution strategies for the team

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Solutions Consultant Lead if you have the following:  

  • Proven solution consulting expertise: Extensive customer-facing and pre-sales solution consulting experience, with deep knowledge of tax and accounting industry solutions, workflows, and corporate client needs
  • Subject matter authority: Recognized expert in tax and accounting solutions with the ability to solve complex, multidisciplinary problems and provide specialist advice to senior management
  • Player-coach capability: Demonstrated ability to excel as an individual contributor while simultaneously developing others, balancing personal client commitments with team leadership responsibilities
  • Strategic relationship builder: Strong track record of developing relationships with key internal and external customers, identifying future needs, and influencing stakeholders across all levels
  • Revenue accountability: Comfortable with dual accountability for personal quota attainment and aggregate team performance metrics, with experience managing competing priorities
  • Coaching and development mindset: Natural mentor who creates development opportunities, models exemplary behaviors, and uses complex situations as teaching moments for team growth
  • Adaptable communicator: Ability to adjust communication style to different audiences, from technical demonstrations to strategic consulting with senior executives, while serving as an evangelist for the product
