Job Description
Summary:
As a Technical Lead, you'll play a hands-on role in developing, and troubleshooting complex software solutions that power our data platform. Your day will involve working on diverse aspects of product development, from piloting new ideas and building platform capabilities to addressing customer issues and guiding implementation efforts. You'll also mentor team members and provide technical oversight where needed.
You'll be part of the FactoryTalk DataMosaix SaaS Product Engineering team, collaborating with peers and reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering. This is a hybrid role based in Pune, India.
Your Responsibilities:
- Gather and document requirements for features and components, ensuring clarity for development and testing.
- Contribute to architectural develop system designs that meet requirements, considering trade-offs between speed, cost, and reliability.
- Work with Product Owners, QA, and Architects to align technical solutions with team goals.
- Implement and document high-quality code aligned with design specifications.
- Develop unit tests; resolve anomalies.
- Lead integration efforts across subsystems and provide technical oversight for related components.
- Conduct reviews of designs, code, test cases, and documentation.
- Mentor team members and act as a go-to expert for technologies and methodologies.
- Improve development tools.
The Essentials - You will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 or more years of experience in software product development, including cloud-first applications.
- Expertise in Enterprise Java, Spring Boot or Quarkus, and Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Knative, and Kubernetes Operator development.
- Familiarity with Reactive frameworks, CQRS patterns, and REST/GraphQL/gRPC APIs.
- Proficiency with Maven/Gradle, artefact management, and dependency management.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Solid grasp of security best practices, API authentication, and data protection.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and global team collaboration.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and orchestration tools.
- Experience messaging technologies (Kafka, Message Queuing Telemetry Transport, Azure Internet of Things Hub).
- Familiarity with Domain-driven Design, TDD, BDD, and modern testing frameworks.
- Exposure to distributed query engines (Apache Drill, PrestoDB, Trino) and MPP systems.
- Working knowledge of Python and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef).
- Understanding of secure software development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Industrial automation experience
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies such as Generative AI and Agentic AI
