Job Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of software engineers (5-8 individuals), providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
* Oversee the complete software development lifecycle for embedded systems, from requirements definition and architecture design to implementation, testing, and deployment, within the BRAIN TOK6 project scope.
* Ensure the team's adherence to Valeo's software development processes, quality standards, and safety regulations (e.g., ISO 26262).
* Define and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring on-time and within-budget project completion.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, system architects, project managers, and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration and product success.
* Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices in software engineering.
* Identify and mitigate technical risks, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
* Act as a key technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding software aspects of the BRAIN TOK6 project.
* Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging innovation and continuous learning.

Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
* Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
* In-depth understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software architectures.
* Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and diagnostics (UDS).
* Familiarity with automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) and functional safety concepts.
* Proven experience with software configuration management tools (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a technical team.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to software development.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international, and multicultural environment.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
