Software Senior Quality Engineer - Platform Architecture Services (Hybrid)

How You’ll Make An Impact

As a Software Quality Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on the customer’s business goals, needs, and general business environment. You will work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support on developing cutting edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of Boomi offerings. You will:

• Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the software development lifecycle
• Be responsible for ensuring all aspects of testing are conducted including functional, load/performance, and security testing to name a few
• Participate in design, development, testing, and deployment of Boomi products and services including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported
• Investigate and resolve complex customer issues
• Work independently with guidance from technical leadership
• Collaborate with other quality engineers including design and test reviews
• Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria, be a user advocate, and be comfortable challenging and discussing the intent of stories to surface edge cases and improve outcomes
• Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of QA, including manual and automated functional and integration tests and the setup of production-like environments

The Experience You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in Manual & Automation Testing in a large-scale distributed environment (Selenium, Rest Assured, ReadyAPI, PlayWright, etc)
• Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages like Java, source control systems, and continuous integration tools
• Experience with agile collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence
• Experience with Web Services technologies including REST, SOAP, and WSDL
• Experience using Linux/Unix environments
• Experience using AWS technologies such as Cloudformation, S3, ECS, EKS, and EC2

Bonus Points If You Have 

• Experience in web application testing using frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver
• Familiarity with highly scalable, high throughput web applications and backend systems
• Familiarity with SQL, relational database systems, and ORM tools like Hibernate
• Exposure to eventing and serverless technologies

Compensation and Benefits

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our corporate headquarters in Conshohocken, PA begins at $96,402. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  An overview of our benefits can be found here.
