As a Software Quality Engineer within our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of enterprise-level software solutions that support healthcare and clinical research innovation. Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test strategies for enterprise software applications in an Agile development environment
Review product requirements and functional specifications to define test scope, identify risks, and support sprint planning activities
Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA team members, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot defects and resolve issues identified during testing
Develop and maintain repeatable QA test plans based on functional requirements, user workflows, system design documentation, and domain knowledge
Investigate test failures across multiple environments, including reviewing application logs, server logs, and database queries to support root cause analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise software testing or software quality engineering
Experience with manual and automated testing tools and frameworks
Hands-on experience testing software applications on mobile platforms
Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and collaborative engineering practices
Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot defects, and work effectively across cross-functional technical teams
Familiarity with SQL queries and debugging within application and database environments
Experience supporting software quality initiatives in cloud-based or DevOps environments, including exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS), is an advantage
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work remotely from Costa Rica with authorization to work in the country
