Virtual Recall is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Percent of Time

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.

Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the software meets the highest quality standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, support engineers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and identify testable scenarios.

Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies in a clear and concise manner

Perform regression testing to ensure resolved issues do not affect existing functionalities

Continuously improve test processes and contribute to the enhancement of QA methodologies and tools

Mentoring and training junior colleagues.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• You will interact with the rest the development team and delivery manager on a regular basis.
• You will also work alongside and mentor a junior QA member, who will provide much of the product background.
• Collaboration and communication are a key requirement for this role.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jira, GitHub Pull Requests).
• Experience with automated testing tools, in particular, Playwright. · Proficiency in writing and executing test cases and test scripts
• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) standards and practices, and the ability to identify common security vulnerabilities in software applications. of the OWASP.
• Knowledge of programming languages, in particular C#.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Teamcity, Devops Pipelines).

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Regular working hours are from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST. (ICC Second Shift)

Minimum of 5 hours overlap with UK working hours.
