Lumentum is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative student to join the Optical Communication Switching Project Management team in Ottawa, Ontario.
The Opportunity
What You’ll Be Doing
Take ownership of hardware and software projects as the lead Project Manager, defining and documenting project scope, goals, budget, and deliverables with support from the Program Manager and stakeholders
Develop and create the project structure and maintain thorough documentation in Confluence
Support the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of Lumentum
Regularly collaborate with the Program Manager to monitor and control project schedules with engineering teams and communicate project status (technical and programmatic) to stakeholders and management
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion by leading regular occurring meetings
Support the development process by ordering and tracking the program’s material procurement through Oracle Enterprise Manager
Actively participate in hiring and onboarding the next cohort of co-ops, and develop training resources
What We’re Looking For
Any of the following would be considered a strong asset:
Working knowledge of Miro, Confluence, JIRA, Oracle, Agile, or Tableau
Detail-oriented, organized, and highly motivated individual
Ability to operate effectively in highly technical and multi project environment
Structured Project Management certifications such as PMI (CAPM), PRINCE2, Scrum, Six Sigma
Candidates must be eligible to complete a background check as part of the hiring process
