Software Engineering Senior Advisors- Hybrid

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor,  which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities-

  • Design, develop, debug, and optimize end-to-end (E2E) data analytics systems by performing

  • data sourcing, data ingestion, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes, and semantic layer building.

  • Develop/validate E2E pipelines and analyze the impact of new pipelines on existing applications. Write complex SQL queries to mimic the output of reports based on mapped source system tables and columns.

  • Automate ad hoc activities, such as data provisioning, profiling, metadata compatibility checks, and validation, to improve deliverable quality and cost optimization.

  • Collect and analyze structured/unstructured data, build machine learning models and algorithms, and perform gap analyses for data model development.

  • Define requirements to pull data for further analysis and design for low-stream applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, convert business requirements into functional/technical specifications, and ensure proper testing and deployment.

  • Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to complete user stories, perform user acceptance testing and release checkout, participate in sprint and release demo meetings, and perform unit testing.

  • Work with vendor partners to integrate and enhance data by using Oracle and Airflow.

  • Guide test planning and leverage tools like OpKey to maximize automation opportunities for functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Assess state of data processes, identify knowledge gaps and improvement areas, provide recommendations, and apply optimization to existing production jobs.

  • Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications-

Position requires a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related plus two years of experience in software development within the healthcare domain, or a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related plus 5 years of experience in software development within the healthcare domain. Must have experience with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), data analytics, OpKey, Oracle, SQL, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition/Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIEE/OBIA), and Airflow.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
