Software Engineering Senior Advisors- Hybrid

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Senior Advisor,  which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.

Responsibilities-

  • Provides technology leadership and delivery accountability for solutions for multiple concurrent projects within an application family such as Claims, C&PS, or CS&DW.

  • Creates detailed specifications or designs, conducts quality assurance reviews of peer’s application programming, and serves as a resource for team members. Creates estimates and delivery plans for projects at a capability level with multiple vendors.

  • Maintains quality of technology delivery of multiple vendors’ technology solutions for multiple concurrent projects.

  • Guides the writing and modifying of complex software application programs.

  • Sets direction to mature the technology associated with the team by removing Technical Debt when possible.

  • Identifies and implements process enhancement opportunities associated with supporting the application area.

  • Serves as subject matter expert in development and testing of technology components for the team.

  • Performs coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintenance of software application programs as necessary.

  • Supports activities of senior team members and architects to set direction for new technology components.

  • Provides technical guidance to projects for components of a technology suite. Develops standard practices, components, and guidelines for use of complex technology components.

  • Resolves urgent and high production incidents and determines root cause of problems and drives resolution to software development issues.

  • The salary for this position is $189,592.00 per year and this role is eligible for standard company benefits.

  • Hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications-

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computers or Engineering and 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or related. Must have experience with or knowledge of: IBM Mainframes; COBOL6; JCL; VSAM; DB2; MQ; TSO/ISPF; PBM claim adjudication processing; Inflation Reduction Act (“IRA”); CMS (HIPPA); NCPDP guidelines; Point of Sale; Coordination of Benefit (“COB”); manual submitted claims processing; retail pharmacy network system; CA-7 Scheduler; Endeavor; XPEDITER; SPUFI; migration activities; job execution in JAVA and Postgres DB; and Agile process.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 127,400 - 212,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
