About The Role

At HP IQ, our Wireless Software team is responsible for developing innovative software solutions that bring next-generation hardware devices to life. We work closely with hardware engineers, automation teams, and cross-functional partners to design and deliver high-performance wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi and IoT protocols. Our work ensures seamless connectivity, reliability, and speed across devices. In this role, you’ll play a key part in embedded systems development—writing and debugging code, collaborating on automation efforts, and driving continuous performance improvements that push the boundaries of what our products can do.

2026 Internship Program Dates: May/June-August/September 2026. Final dates based on student schedule.

What You Might Do

  • Collaborate with hardware and automation teams to integrate wireless software solutions
  • Develop and debug embedded software components using C, C++, and Java
  • Design simple systems software and contribute to performance and power optimization
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure software quality

Essential Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with embedded systems or wireless software projects
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RTOS, driver development, software tools development.
  • Experience with Debugging equipment

Salary range: $45 - $48/per hour
