We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join the Cloud Governance Team. You will help develop applications and services that manage the lifecycle of cloud accounts across Disney’s diverse segments.
This is a unique opportunity to learn cloud-native development at a massive scale. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the company to understand their needs while growing your technical skills in a supportive environment.
Build & Learn: Assist in the design and development of applications using modern languages (Python, NodeJS, Java, or Go).
Cloud Governance: Learn how to manage cloud resources and accounts securely and efficiently across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
API Development: Help build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support internal services.
Collaborate: Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions to learn best practices from senior engineers.
Problem Solve: Work with the team to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements to existing governance tools.

Coding Foundations: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, NodeJS, Java, or Go are preferred).
Web Fundamentals: Understanding of how web applications work, including basic API concepts (HTTP, REST, or GraphQL).
Database Knowledge: Familiarity with database concepts (SQL or NoSQL) and data modeling.
Curiosity: A strong desire to learn about Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Software Architecture.
Communication: Ability to communicate technical questions clearly and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Experience in software development (internships, capstone projects, or personal coding projects count!).
Exposure to a public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) through coursework or personal projects.
Familiarity with version control systems (like Git).
Currently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other STEM related field at an accredited college or university.
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2026 through August/September 2026
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
