What you’ll do:
Responsibilities:
- As a member of the DevSecOps Solutions team, you'll be responsible for managing the team that builds the tools/infrastructure/pipelines for our CI/CD/CT Stack. This process is at the core of engineering development for components of the High Performance Compute (HPC) system stack – including compute, storage, network, hardware, and software, in varied configurations.
- You will be on the front lines of ensuring that the development environment meets and exceeds the requirements of those engineering teams while remaining stable, consistent and repeatable.
- Recruit, manage and retain teams of talented engineers
- Mentor engineers and lead by example

- Partner with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, high performance automation solutions for build, deployment, testing and management tools
- Utilize best practices for Continuous Integration and Continuous Test to agile development teams
- Navigate the organization as necessary to unblock the team and ensure timely delivery
- Drive the adoption of new best practices into activities in the engineering organization
- Engage and collaborate with technology partners and customers
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience working with engineering teams (automation/tools/infrastructure experience a plus)
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with technical leadership or managing software development teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
- Experience in testing system solutions.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand and embrace forms and processes for automated software delivery
- Previous experience with High Performance Computing is a plus
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
- Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines using Cloudbees Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Manage and optimize self-hosted runners, ensuring secure and efficient execution environments.
- Drive the integration of Cloudbees Jenkins and GitHub Actions with other development and operations tools for end-to-end automation.
- Develop and execute DevOps strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on automation, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices within CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
- Understanding of Python, C/C++
- Understanding of software quality assurance tools and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at management levels.
- Experience testing large systems.
- Be strong in automation, understand what areas of testing can be automated, and develop and execute an automation strategy.
- Must be proficient in debugging and troubleshooting. Must have demonstrated ability to understand large systems, and develop and execute test plans.
- Good understanding of Containerization (Docker / Podman), and Container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Good to have skills: Jenkins, GIT, Jira, Ansible, Automated test framework (e.g. Avocado, PyTest)
