Summary:

This Java Developer position at State Street focuses on maintaining and enhancing a global FX Prime Broker Give-up system. The role requires expertise in Java development, Oracle Database management, and Bash scripting while working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work within an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
• Develop and optimize backend services using Java and related technologies
• Write and maintain Bash scripts for deployment and system maintenance tasks
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
• Demonstrate more independence of design and development

Expected Skills:

• Familiar with commonly used software development tools and version control tools, such as IDEA, VSCODE, Git etc..
• Familiar with Java/Java Web/SQL and familiar with at least 1 scripting language, such as Shell or Python etc, and have good code writing habits
• Have basic knowledge on frontend. Such as Java Script/Type Script/React, etc..
• Solid basic knowledge of computers, familiar with data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, etc..

Good learning ability and problem-solving ability, and can quickly learn and apply new technologies

• Good English reading and writing skills. Able to do basic oral communication on the develop work related stuff in english
• Self-Driven, good communication skills and team spirit, and can collaborate efficiently with team members
• Familiar with Linux operating system
• Familiar with standard software SDLC process
• Familiar with using one of the public cloud(aws/azure, etc..)

Bonus Skills

• Have practical project development experience, such as participating in open-source projects, personal projects, etc..
• Have experience with IaC scripting with public cloud, such as terraform
• Have experience with ultizing AI at work to boost performance

Educational Background:

• Majors related to Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, etc., with a bachelor's degree or above
