This position is needed to support ongoing Development, Enhancements, Maintenance of initiatives for the Technology group.


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
  • Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
  • Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
  • Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
  • Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong years of backend engineering, with at least 1 year integrating AI/LLMs into production.
  • A Java Engineer skilled in Spring Boot, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, CI/CD—capable of working end-to-end development and delivering high-performance enterprise solutions.
  • Strong years of Java development experience
  • Strong years active participation in Agile methodology.
  • Strong experience in using Git Hub/Jenkins, JIRA & SonarQube tools
  • Experience in Cloud Applications.
  • Strong years of database and MS SQL experience
  • Strong experience in development of framework and reusable components using different Java design patterns
  • Experience with Application performance, monitoring and optimization using Blazemeter, JMeter, Splunk and AppDynamics
  • Experience in creating, executing, and documenting compliance testing
  • Experience in policy and procedures/control testing
  • Banking domain experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Develop reusable components using different Java design patterns.
  • Contribute towards implementing CI/CD pipeline.
  • Strong in programming skills and verifies java/selenium program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, test scripts and debugging of programs for automation.
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.
  • Learn the Wells Fargo Standards and follow them.
  • Core Java Engineering Skills
  • Java 17+, Core Java, OOP, collections, concurrency, multithreading
  • Spring Boot / Spring Framework, Spring Data, Spring Security.  
  • RESTful APIs, distributed microservices architecture, integration patterns.
  • Strong SQL and NoSQL experience; stored procedures, views, optimized queries.
  • Strong backend engineering with Python, React.js
  • Cloud, DevOps & Tooling
  • Deployment experience on AWS / Azure / GCP for scalable Java apps.
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, automated testing).
  • Build tools: Maven, Gradle; version control with Git.
  • Hands-on experience with modern LLMs (GPT, Gemini, LLaMA, etc.) built on transformer architectures.
  • Good prompt engineering skills, including chain‑of‑thought prompting.

Job Expectations:

  • Strong years of backend engineering, with at least 1 year integrating AI/LLMs into production.
  • A Java Engineer skilled in Spring Boot, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, CI/CD—capable of working end-to-end development and delivering high-performance enterprise solutions.
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
  • This position requires the individual to support internally developed as well as externally purchased or developed applications as required by the business.
  • The individual in this role is responsible for the technical implementation of solutions supporting business functionality.
  • Work with multiple teams including, but not limited to, Product teams, different IT teams, QA, Release Management, Infrastructure, etc.
  • Evolve & innovate tooling techniques to accelerate development, test and deliver lifecycles.
  • Code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
    Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.
