About the Role

Independently drive Halosonic feature design and integration, develop/optimize DSP algorithms, collaborate globally on programming, analyze project requirements for sound/noise projects, and adapt algorithms to new processors.

What You Will Do

  • Independently complete Halosonic new feature/AO design, development and integration.

  • Develop and optimize complex DSP algorithms and architectures/systems.

  • Create and evaluate new concepts and provide risk/feasibility analysis and related documentation

  • Support DSP system setup and demonstration in vehicle.

  • Participating in DSP software programming with Global Development team.

  • Understand customer and internal requirements and specifications for Engine Sound Synthesis, Engine Order Cancellation and Road Noise Cancellation projects.

  • Communicate with peers inside the Harman group to coordinate DSP software development.

  • Support adapting existing DSP algorithms to new processors.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on DSP and signal processing, with minimum 4+ years’ experience in software development in C/C++.

  • Detailed DSP programming experience and signal processing techniques (e.g. IIR, FIR, adaptive filters).

  • Detailed knowledge in DSP optimization, include MIPS and Memory optimization.

  • Detailed knowledge in DSP peripherals and inter IC communication (SPI, I2C, …), experience in audio format and protocol.

  • Detailed experience in audio simulation and measurement tools (e.g. Octave, MATLAB).

  • Excellent communication skill in English (written and verbal).

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Preferably master’s degree with a focus in DSP and signal processing, EE.

  • Hands-on DSP experience required. ADI SHARC or Griffin DSP is a plus.

  • Experience with embedded multitask systems and OS.

  • Active Noise Cancellation background is a plus.

  • Automotive industry or other QS9000 compliant work experience preferred.
